Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is a global health issue, and its incidence and mortality rates can vary by region and population. It is estimated that there are over 6 million cases of SCA worldwide each year, with a mortality rate of approximately 90%.
NewPace is the only company targeting both: short-term as well as long-term sudden cardiac arrest (“SCA”) protection at home and outside the hospital, via a platform of innovative wearable and implantable medical devices – a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) - the DBelt™, and a novel implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) – the ISSD™.
